Voices of Empire is a cohort-based program designed for those who recognize they benefit from colonial histories and wish to explore this inheritance more deeply. Many people struggle to reconcile their present-day identities and unearned advantages with the reality of these legacies, often feeling conflicted about how to engage meaningfully with such a complex past.

This program provides a structured space to navigate those complexities together, guiding participants to:

• Reflect on personal and historical narratives tied to colonial legacies,
• Find language to express their roles and responsibilities in these contexts,
• Unearth stories within themselves that bring clarity to their identities and privileges,
• Face the discomfort that often arises in grappling with inherited advantages, and
• Craft personal narratives to share with a broader audience, encouraging dialogue and awareness.
• Discover actions to craft a more equitable future for all.
